Ruger explains his strategy for dealing with the Kenyan singer who is impersonating him.

Michael Adebayo Olayinka, ordinarily known as Ruger, a notable Nigerian entertainer, addresses the subject of a ‘counterfeit Ruger’ who is mimicking him and playing at exhibitions in Kenya.

The sham, otherwise called “Counterfeit Ruger,” has been singing Ruger’s tunes at different Kenyan social events.

Ruger recently admitted in an interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra that the performer who is imitating him holds no grudges against him.

He went on by saying that he truly wished him accomplishment since he considered it to be an opportunity to both advance and backing his own music vocation.

He advised everyone to relax and give the imposter some breathing room at the end.

His words were:

“I hope everything turns out great for him [‘Fake Ruger’], man. I am glad for him. He won’t be silenced by me. He’s making his P’s [money]. Everyone needs to eat.

The impersonator was brought to my attention by my team, but I said the man was just trying to hustle. Because he is not making his own songs and claiming that Ruger wrote them, he is actually promoting my songs in a way.

“At the end of the day, they will return to their homes and stream those songs because he is singing mine. The most crucial aspect is that. Everyone ought to settle down.
