Arsenal can’t quite get a deal for Gabriel Jesus over the line just now and according to reports, Chelsea have now been offered the chance to sign him.
The Evening Standard has reported that while it is Arsenal who are pushing to sign the Brazilian, Chelsea are one of the clubs who have actually been offered the chance to sign him. It’s claimed Jesus’ agents are touting their client’s name in the hope of landing the best deal possible for their man.
City are thought to want around £50m to sell Jesus this summer. As we know, Arsenal remain confident they can sign him, although as time ticks by, the more concerned Mikel Arteta and Gunners fans will get.
Jesus was one of the key City players last season but the signing of Erling Haaland has pushed him down the pecking order somewhat. Often featuring out wide anyway in Pep’s front three, the addition of Haaland will only dampen Jesus’ chances of playing regularly.
For Chelsea, they could well be in the market for a new striker, with Romelu Lukaku facing an uncertain future. Jesus, meanwhile, has been linked with Tottenham as well, while the ES claims Real Madrid have also shown an interest.

While it wouldn’t sting as much as Tottenham signing him, Chelsea are next in line when it comes to Arsenal missing out on Gabriel Jesus.
It would be a really tough pill for Mikel Arteta to swallow. It’s been clear for a while that he wants the Brazilian through the door and if one of their London rivals pips Arsenal to it, then it will be a nightmare.
For Jesus, you have to say Chelsea might be a good move if Lukaku does go. On that front, you can’t really blame the player if he did choose the Bridge.
