Kylian Mbappe’s mother, Fayza Lamari, has claimed that her son has reached an agreement with PSG and Real Madrid, and must now make his final decision over which club he will play for next season.
Real Madrid tried to sign Mbappe last summer, and have continued to show interest in the forward ever since, while PSG are attempting to convince the 23-year-old to extend his deal in the French capital, which is set to expire next month.
Lamari has now delivered an update on her son’s situation as he prepares to announce his next career move.
Now we have found an agreement with both Real Madrid and PSG and the discussions are over because it is Kylian who has to choose now.
‘The two offers, that of PSG and Real, are almost identical. At Real, my son will have control of his image rights! We will now await his decision.
‘In the Real Madrid offer we have full power of image rights, on the other hand there is an economic balance that rewards this thing, in short there is no difference between the two are similar.’
Lamari’s comments provide the latest twist in a transfer saga that has taken a number of turns in recent days.
The World Cup winner revealed on Sunday that he was close to making an announcement on his future, and it was reported that he had agreed to join Real Madrid on a five-year deal.
However, PSG seem determined not to allow their star player to leave without a fight, and a report on Thursday stated that the French champions had offered Mbappe ‘complete control’ of the club’s sporting project, while also being willing to pay him £4million a month in wages and a £100m signing-on fee.
It appears that Mbappe now has two lucrative proposals on the table, and he must now choose whether to remain at PSG or complete his free transfer to Real Madrid.
